Charcoal, ink and pastel on paper.
The
afore mentioned frustration was not at the time surrounding the
initial sketches, but rather weeks later in the studio. A simple
still-life seemed impossible, so I wrote how I was feeling all
over the page. Later, I rendered these roses from the blackened
mess. Some of the original drawing and words can still be seen.
